On 12-13 December 2017, Msgr Paul McPartlan co-chaired a meeting in Rome of a sub-commission of the international Catholic-Orthodox theological dialogue tasked with identifying the progress already made in Catholic-Orthodox dialogue and with determining the remaining issues to be resolved if Catholics and Orthodox are to find unity in faith, thereby opening the way to eucharistic communion. The sub-commission is preparing a text for consideration by the plenary commission entitled 'Towards Unity in Faith: Theological and Canonical Issues'.
